My path to becoming a professional hairstylist has been unique and wonderful; it has made me a person who looks for beauty and has inspired me to serve my clients at the highest level. I am as passionate about teaching the importance of everyday hair care as I am about creating the right style for each person. When my clients leave the salon, I want them to be able to maintain luxurious, healthy hair on their own.

My journey began in Northern Iran, where I was born into a very large family. Witnessing the horrific impact of war and devastation on my country left me with a profound desire to surround myself with beauty. I worked hard to learn English and excel in school and was blessed to be able to emigrate to Canada where I studied cosmetology and was honored to place third in Canada's national hairstyling competition. I continued my studies at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles, specializing in cut and color.

My wife and I moved to her hometown of Santa Cruz in 2006 to raise our two boys in a loving community of family and friends.

 

Santa Cruz has been a great fit for my professional approach in which I value the importance of holistic, organic hair and body products that yield excellent long-lasting results in and out of the salon. Through experience, I have also learned which regimens work best for different hair types, and which styles work best for different face shapes. This is why I always insist on a complementary initial consultation before an appointment.
